Dear Soul Candle Co. was born from a season of change...
A season that taught me to slow down, live more intentionally, and focus on what truly matters.
Before this brand, I spent years trying to find my place in the world. I worked many different jobs, lived in a few different states, and eventually, in 2022, started my first candle business, Anchor and Flank Candles. That business taught me a lot, but overall, it revealed how much I love creating with purpose and serving others.
During my younger years, I felt an inherent need to push myself to the edge physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. However, after getting married, moving across the country, navigating pregnancy loss, and finally becoming a mother, something in my heart shifted. I felt called to step away from the chaos and create a brand that reflects the life I want to live moving forward: one rooted in presence, goodness, love, and care.
That is where Dear Soul began.
The name “Dear Soul” is meant to feel like the opening of a letter, or a term of endearment; something warm, sincere, and deeply personal. It is a way to speak to the people we love, and to ourselves, with gentleness and care.
The Dear Soul logo is also deeply personal and, quite literally, born out of love. Each flower represents the birth months of my two children — a Carnation for my son, and a Morning Glory for my angel baby whom I never got to meet — constant reminders of the greatest love I've been blessed to experience.
Ultimately, Dear Soul exists to remind you of your worth and your calling — to live with goodness, a pure heart, and a wholesome spirit, and to spread love and light in the world around you.

Hi! I’m Danna — the one-woman show behind Dear Soul Candle Co., wearing all the hats and pouring my heart into every part of this little business.
Every product here is made by my hands in small batches, from blending fragrances and pouring wax to packing orders and dreaming up what comes next. What began as a personal challenge and a creative escape from the monotony of a 9-to-5 has grown into something much deeper: a way to connect with people, serve them with intention, and remind them that they are loved, valued, and worthy of care.
I’ve always been drawn to meaningful work — the kind that feels personal, honest, and rooted in purpose. Dear Soul is my way of combining creativity, compassion, and the desire to bring more goodness and encouragement into everyday life through something as simple as a candle.
And it is such a gift to be the hands behind that.

Here at Dear Soul Candle Co., products are not just intended to smell good. They're intended to be good. That's why I purposefully choose ingredients that are as good for your home as they are for your soul. Small-batch. Hand-poured. Made to remind you that the details matter.
Parasoy Wax
Both candles and wax melts are crafted with a parasoy wax blend — a combination of paraffin and soy waxes. This wax provides a smooth, creamy finish that holds fragrance beautifully and burns cleanly.
Clean Fragrance Oils
All products are made with clean fragrance oils. These oils are free from phthalates, acute toxins, organ toxins, and other harmful additives, so what fills your space is nothing but warmth and intention.
Wood Wicks
The candles utilize wooden wicks that crackle softly as they burn, offering a pleasant auditory experience. They are all-natural, toxin-free, and sustainably-made in the USA.
Glass Jars and Metal Tins
All candles are poured in recyclable, beautifully colored glass jars and tin-plated steel candle tins.
Makin' in Aiken
My small business is currently located in Aiken, SC. While my candle making journey began in the midst of shuffling between small-town Alaska and the Redwoods of Northern California, I'm thankful to have landed in another small community, surrounded by countless other makers, small business owners, and entrepreneurs.
